I just bought F1 2012 on PC at less than 5 bucks which I thought was a good deal compared to Xbox 360 games(like the F1 2013 I own already) and while awaiting the arrival of my stick, I will be using my Xbox controller to play this 2012 game on PC. F1 2013’s cars feel a bit more cooperative under braking more control when you slam on the anchors means you can more confidently attack corners. Well I guess I will find out soon enough. In other words, you will be slower and less agile than your opponents when using a joystick.

I'm afraid I can tell you that using a joystick in racing games isn't going to give great results, as the circle axis of a joystick reduces your turning angle in racing games, as opposed to using a wheel or a gamepad which give full left/right axis control. Formula Ones new turbo era has claimed one unlikely new victim: manufacturers of ear defenders. I have the Xbox 360 controller that I use for the console and PC, but would like to try see if the joystick works better in F1 compared to the gamepad. The major reason I would like to get the 2012 version right now on PC is because I am buying a Thundermaster HOTA joystick for PC to play flight and space simulator games and would like to try it as well on F1.
